Alex Wrekk (she/they) is an agnostic secular witch and organizer who has been building a DIY magical practice since 2005. They are the human behind the UpTheWitchyPunx tumblr blog, Brainscan zine (including the DIY Witchery issues), and the author of Stolen Sharpie Revolution: a DIY Resource for Zines and Zine Culture. They are a founding organizer of the Midwest Perzine Fest and they bring their scrappy DIY punk perspective to the Critical Thinking Witch Collective and CritWitchCon. In their personal time, Alex enjoys a friendly relationship with their neighborhood crows, cultivating a garden, and exploring ways to turn trash into magic. Their day job is making custom buttons at Portland Button Works and selling books, zines, and other magical things at The Spiral House Shop.
