Georgi Gardiner is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and GESS (Gender and Sexuality Studies) at Tulane University. She teaches (amongst other things) creativity classes and LGBTQ philosophy. Gardiner specialises in ‘scholarship through art, play, and adventure’, such as using Lego and tarot cards to better understand topics in philosophy and gender studies.
Gardiner researches relationships, the values of countercultural community, and philosophical approaches to occult practices. She has written on sex witchcraft, tarot, and pagan sex ethics for erotic rituals. Her work is intermodal: She is editing a book about sexual violence that interweaves scholarly essays with poetry, personal narratives, hot takes, interactive activities, and visual artwork.
